What we keep
When you visit
Which pages you open and when, the page you came from, your town as the network reports it, and whether you are on a phone or a computer. The full list, how long it is kept and how to opt out are on the privacy page.
When you message James
- Your name, how to reach you (an email address or a phone number), and what you wrote. The text of every message, yours and his, is encrypted on the server.
- Any photos you send with a message, stored encrypted and shown only to you and to James.
- How you first reached the site (the referring page, campaign tags, town).
- A one-way code of the address your connection came from, cleared after 90 days. The address itself is not kept.
If you make an account
Your name, your email address, a scrambled form of your password (the password itself is never stored), and the dates you signed in.
If you follow a litter
Which litter, and when you started following it. You get an email when that litter changes, at most one an hour, until you unfollow.
Who touches it
The site runs on its own server. Brevo delivers the emails James sends you. Cloudflare carries the site and its email. No one else sees any of it, and nothing is sold or shared.
To get a copy, or to remove it
- Signed in: open Your account, then Your data. Download my data gives you a file with everything above; Delete my account removes your login now and the rest within 30 days.
- Not signed in: message James from the contact page and ask. He can send you the same file or remove the records.
Deleted records are gone for good after 30 days.
